Teachers. Preachers. Peacemakers.

I remember my teacher oftenly used to say this phrase. She said and I quoted:We (teachers) can tell you where to look but not what to look.

It’s been half a decade since I dropped out my college and even though time carries me well, I don’t think I could ever forget the teachings I have learnt from every stage of my life from teachers (and sometimes people. Now, I am going out of subject. Eh!)

While looking at present situation, all I can do is to sigh in nostalgia. Those days were precious but this day is exactly where I am supposed to be. Frustrated. Mad at system and society.

I know pandemic is boring!

Am I using the word 'boring', seriously?

Let me rephrase the statement.

This pandemic is predator taking lives of the people. By the way, it's one of its characteristics - Versatility. Not only it's affecting healths of the people but also the economy of country.

Poor Administration & Management

Remember in school, where the very first chapter in Macro-Economics begins with ‘India is a developing country.’ The present situation haven't changed positively. In fact, now the pace is going backwards. The lockdowns and curfews, have made thousands of people to shut their business. Although, I used to always marvel at the decisions of our dear Prime Minister. His ideas were fantastic but with such a shiny brain, how can someone be so dumb to fail in execution. For example (No I’m not obsessive clingy girlfriend stuck in her past. Perhaps in this case, I might.) Demonetisation in 2016. We know who suffer the most and how corruption had broken all the records by leaps and bounds.

This pandemic in India is more of a déjà vu kinda thing. Like an Instagram memory of last year. If you share the instagram story of lower class people situation in last year, I'm definitely sure the image wouldn't change much as of now.

A year ago, the immigrants are the ones who suffered most of the spontaneous decision of lockdown. The transportation stopped causing them to travel kilometres for days with no money and livelihood by their side. It cost them their lives. Literally.

Our Dear (Social) Media

Ironically, media was actually highly immersed in the news channel Rhea Chakraboraty was watching. You know the News channels/Social Media/Media are the only business that are thriving at its best. The only business that are actually selling and who’s buying? I’m not looking at you. You already know it.

Where Dalgona Coffee and food recipes were the only trend passionately followed and shared. Twitter is the war zone mostly filled with hashtag boycott bollywood. Youtube Vs Tiktok blurring the mind of youth. Completely forgetting the pandemic is the real problem and CAA protest is as real problem as the Farmer protest. People are dying everywhere. Some of hunger, some of hatred.

I don’t care if Bhakts are triggered. This is the naked reality.

It triggered me how successful media was in destroying the foundation of our Constitution. I’m talking about Secularism here. The actual legacy inherited by our ancestors and catastrophically distorted by the true Bhakts.

Fun Fact:

I live in Amritsar. City of Gurus. The Golden Temple is the soul of my city. Whereas it was completed by Sri Guru Ramdas Ji, the foundation was laid only by the Mir Mian Mohammed. Take a hint.

Illiterate Juvenile(s)

I believe the one revolting against a particular community are the kids who either used to sleep in their Moral Science Class or the one cramming the answers, not understanding the basic purpose of it.

What cause this chaos?

It is the lack of education. Education here isn’t the Masters in Chemistry or Cost Accountancy. It’s basic Education. Moral Values. Illiteracy is the root of evil. In this era, where the youngsters can be easily misguided. It amazed me that the matters of religion triggers them more, not the fact that in some places of the world, War is actually going on.

But guess what the new youth slogan is:

As long as it’s not happening here. We don’t care.’

I remember watching this video on instagram where an old muslim man was *life* threatened by a man calling him all the wrong words and forcing him to say ‘Jai Shri Ram’. As a Hindu, I was crying while watching that video. The thing is, that Hindu man not only defamed the sanctity of all the Hindus but he threatened the life of an Indian Muslim Man. Blinded by biasedness, a particular community usually tend to forget the following things:

  1. That they are the human first. No religion is bigger than the humanity.
  2. That they are the Indians first. No religion is bigger than our country.

Teachers. Preachers. Peacemakers.

We live in 21st Century and with grace of technology, there are many pursuits to follow. No doubt the business mindedness have conquered the noble pursuits of life. However, it is also true that this world doesn’t need another businessmen/businesswomen. We need more teachers and peacemakers. Whereas the college and school fees are not lessened a bit. Teachers are the one highly exploited when they are the one most needed in the society. New Teachers are not given enough exposure and old one don’t much care of evolving. At certain point of time, Evolution is necessary in every field or perhaps in the whole system.

I remember when the first time evolution happened. Spoiler Alert: It created us. Once again, take a hint.

Open your eyes,

This pandemic is already taking lives. Via spreading hatred, you’re playing on the wrong side. It’s Us V/s Pandemic. You might not know but I think it’s time to get you awake from your pony dreams. There’s actually war going on out in the world. There are children killed in Kabul with Bomb blast and people dying regularly in Syria. There is nothing good war brings. Instead, the horrors.

So, Please. Be a Game Changer.

Choose humanity.

Choose life.
